About Me

Hi, my name is Cassi. I'm in my late-twenties living in Pittburgh, Pennsylvania. By day I work as a community organizer at a non-profit environmental organization but by night I become an explorer. I travel to Hogwarts, Westeros, Orchard House, and Andalusia. I've had my heart broken with Diana Holland, gone to space with Arthur Dent, competed in the Hunger Games with Katniss, and attended Shiz University with Elphaba. I will read basically anything that I can get my hands on. My favorite genres include Fantasy, Contemporary, Thrillers, and Historical Fiction and I don't discriminate against Classics, Adult Fiction, and YA. When I'm not reading I'm cooking, eating, traveling, watching TV, or hanging out with my cat. Actually I'm probably also reading while I do all of that.

I've been a voracious reader for as long as I can remember. I learned to read at two years old and never looked back. As a precocious child I was never satisfied with the stories my parents read me and needed them to make me a character within them. At nine year old I remember competing with my friends in class to read more books than them and get more stickers. I college I turned to reading before I went to bed to relax my brain and actually go to sleep.

I started this blog as a way to gush about a book that I loved. In the time that I've been posting I was never very consistent with it. I would get inspired by a book or something I would see online and post from time to time but it never stuck. And then I read a book that I totally hated. I wanted to share my hatred with people. I remembered my blog and I committed myself to restart this blog and strengthen it. When I restarted posting I realized that there was this amazing community right here and I love the opportunity to share my thoughts with others.

I love experiencing new blogs, reading other people's comments, and meeting new followers. If you're reading this thanks for stopping by, take a look around. If you like what you see make a comment and follow me! HAPPY READING!

My Thoughts Literally is a general interest book blog and book review site.

Each month a specific theme is chosen and a wide variety of books are read across platforms including audiobooks, classics, adult books, and young adult books. Themes can be a specific genre such as High Fantasy or a specific type of book like island escape/adventure. Themes are chosen at random.

My reading tastes are varied by typical genres reviewed include:
- Fantasy
- Science Fiction
- Historical Fiction
- Contemporary
- Mystery/Thriller
- Any combination of the above.

My Thoughts Literally is closed and no longer is accepting requests for reviews or posts. I will still be reviewing ARCs on Goodreads and Instagram. Accepting an ARC request will not guarantee a review. I will do my best to review the book in a timely fashion both on the blog and on Goodreads. Due to the format of themed months reviews may come a month before the book is released or even a few months later based on what theme it best fits. I will try to post the review as close to the book's release date as possible.

Reviews are my honest opinions, they may be good, bad, or indifferent.
